A Prayer at a Recent Luncheon Meeting:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the opportunity for us to gather together this day in this lovely place. Please guard over those who risk ALL on our behalf: police, firefighters, military, border patrol, immigration and customs enforcement. Lord, you are our rock, our fortress, our hope. Those who want to harm us have been put to shame and confusion. When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous, but terror to the evil doers. We will remember those who are mistreated as if we, ourselves, are suffering. The GOAL of God’s command to advance his work by faith is LOVE which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience, and a sincere faith. Our hearts are strengthened by your Grace as we work to save our cities, our state and our nation.
Please bless this food to our bodies’ use.
