Tom Widroe, Chair of SB County GOP!

Tom Widroe has spoken to our club twice and both times he just gets better and better! With two degrees from UCSB and a 20+ year career in the non-profit, public and private sectors of our economy, Tom is a well rounded professional who really knows the Central Coast. Whether earning an MA in Modern American and European History, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association, running political campaigns for former Assembly Member/Supervisor Brooks Firestone, Supervisor 3rd District Willy Chamberlin, Santa Barbara County DA Josh Lynn and others, or working as a Head of Operations for Bargain Network, Inc., a sixty-million-dollar business formerly located in Goleta, Tom has been making an impact wherever he goes.

Since 2003, Tom has honed his skills as a talk radio host on a number of stations including: Santa Barbara’s News Radio KTMS 990am, KZSB 1290am and KUHL 1440am in Santa Maria. His fiery, yet friendly, funny and intellectual brand of conservatism entertains and informs listeners while keeping them in tune with pop culture and sports.

Tom also worked as Managing Director of City Watch, a Santa Barbara based watchdog organization committed to common sense issues such as Highway 101 widening, getting the homeless off the streets and into treatment, repairing local infrastructure and much more. He is on the radio, writes columns in the Santa Barbara News-Press and does public speaking engagements throughout the Central Coast. And in his spare time, Tom works as a self-employed organizational consultant!

Tom lives in Buellton with his wife, Maureen, their children including triplet nine-year-olds Reagan, Jack and Asher and their seven-year-old brother, Brody.
